A Week's Cruise on the River Douro, Portugal, November 2023

This is just a collection of photos taken during a cruise on the River Douro at the start of Novmeber 2023.  Graham was asked by Bill and Mary if he'd like to join them and he agreed so the holiday was booked in the autumn of 2022.  The cruise was provided by Scenic Cruises (more...) and everything was included so for a single person it was quite an extravagant holiday especially as Graham decided not to drink and eat as much as Bill and Mary's combined intake. Since there was too much water in the river near's its mouth when we arrived at Porto, we were coached to Lamego Pier to join the ship. We met two very pleasant ladies from Toronto who have supplied some of the photos. Towards the end of the trip there were navigational problems with buoys being in the wrong positions so we hung around waiting to enter one of the locks.
